Femininity is both a high potent force and a fragile trait, and this Stella captures in her art in an extraordinary fashion. Each of her feminine objects project pain and hurt, and at the same time manages to wield great power and control upon the viewer. In this resides much of the power of the classic Femme Fatale, and Stella manages to recreate this force in the two dimensional medium in a not less powerful way than many great movies that dealt with the subject. One can only wish to take these paintings and bring them to life in the cinema.
